Gleamworks is a paint protection shop that focusses on PPF and ceramic coating. Their clientele predominantly have new and/or high end vehicles, so giving the space a premium feel was a top priority. Their shop previously had a simple white wall acting as a background, which kept things looking clean – however, it felt slightly sterile and impersonal. It also left the background of their photography feeling a bit generic without a strong, multi-level connection to their brand.
The design we developed employs a strong use of the brand’s palette, with an unwavering emphasis on bold blues and white. Translucency and refraction effects allude to the overlaying of protective layers and coatings, the specialty of the business. Finally, the company name has been applied in a neutral but unique manner, positioned so it sits directly behind vehicles when they’re being photographed. The alterations to the type are abstract enough so that they won’t clash with the existing brand, but are also so unmistakable that they will become innately tied to the company when viewing their portfolio of work.
